shot0005fz0.jpg Sorry for the last pic but i couldnt get it to be a spoiler. Well this is a new map im working on. Should be a city in the night and some cool houses and underground bases and such. Now as you can see on the first pic. Should it be a hotel or more a headquarter? It shouldve been some headquarter with big windows and offices and such but now it looks abit more like an hotel :S Well as i said this is a new map but i will continue as long as its here. Also i merged my old map into this map. there is where the underground passage will go.(pic3)

Looks quite promising.

Though you should get rid of that Raven "lots'o'pipes" texture in the last picture. I think the UN added using it to the crimes against humanity offenses list a couple of years ago. For a reason.

First of all. That texture is from textures/factory/outerwall_pipes. So i cant see why its offensive. Also i am looking for a good "Func_trainer" that can say if this will work. I have some buttons. If i press one it will come to a spot and stay at that location until you press the button again. This should be possible at both stages. So if i press a button a platform comes. Then i press a button again and it starts moving. Then it will stay at the path corner until you press a button again. Platform O --------------------2 | | 1 So the platform should be able to move from 1 to 2. At the 2 it should stay there until you press another button that takes you to 1. Then you press another button and it goes again and STAYS at the Path corner. until you press it again.Note that this is a progress that will go round and round.

The pipes texture looks really nasty. You can get much better results by making pipes with cylinders, and then if you want the same feel just put a clip brush over it all so the player doesnt get stuck.

I think what Lassev was trying to say, is that that pipe texture looks flat and ugly when used directly on a 2d surface like that. Use 3d cylinders ftw ;)

Ah well i might lay a "forcefield" layer there so: 1. You wont see the pipes to be flat 2. You cant walk there cause then it will go faster than going rail :P

You know. You really do put me to shame on this one. It's beautiful already, I can't wait to walk around in it eventually. If it ever gets finished. God knows I have so many unfinished maps laying around.. *rolls his eyes*
