Okay, so, I'm making a map of a Star Destroyer here, and it's going great and all... but... I have a little problem with these angles here. see?
I need to make it so that I have slanted poles, but they attach to the base perfectly. Should I use patches instead? Or should I make a long texture of all the windows together that have shaders that make them see though? Any help?
I would use the lowest grid possible and then connect it how you want and use csg when you need to.
What technique did you use to create the bottom of the window frames?

I used vertices and just connected them that way :/ I'm not the best mapper so I'm not sure if that's the best way or not.
DuketheLuke;5256213Should I use patches instead?[/quote] I'd give them a shot, it can't hurt. :nodding:DuketheLuke;5256213Or should I make a long texture of all the windows together that have shaders that make them see though?Never, never never.

Any way that works is fine. In this case, I don't know any other way to do it, either.

Three point clipping should produce identical results.
Well, then, looks like I'll just have to learn how to do that sometime. :)
Hey thanks for the help, It ended in a nice result, take a look :o
So you figured out how to do it with brushwork? Or are my eyes broken?
Either way, it looks okay, maybe just a tad blocky. I'd need to see it textured before I can give a really critical opinion, though.
