Alright, I made an icon for a skin that I wanna use in the game, I saved it as a GIF. file, but it won't show up in the game, does anyone know how I can make it show in game with the animation?
Making an icon should go by these standards:
- JPG or PNG - 128x128 ONLY.
And unfortunately, without the game's bare source you won't be able to create animated icons.
KitsuFox;3396661 - 128x128 ONLY.
256x256 would also work:)
That's to bad, I thought u could, because I saw one before. Only a little one with letter's moving though.
Err, actually you can use a shader to create an animated icon, well I think you can. Look at the shader file and the effects file of the bowcaster hit effect, it's fairly self explanitory. HOWEVER: I don't know if this will work on an icon.
GnOe;3396724256x256 would also work:)
any power of 2 will work.(i bet you knew that:nodding: ) my friend did i ani-icon ill ask him, oh and if you could post the .gif and give me the name if you modle/skin I will try to do it for you (using a shader):smokin:
That's it, made it for a friend. ^^ do you think you can let it work? :)
oh yeah, I called it: jedivanquisher
actually higher than 128x128 wont work weather its a power of 2 or not, it just wont show up in the menu, the power of 2 rule is for textures.
it did work for me :uhm:
/do you think you can let it work? :)
In a word - no. It needs to be JPG format to work in the game. You might be able to lay an effect over it with shaders, although I'm not entirely positive that will work as I've never gone as far as to bother with it. Animated icons are just an unnecessary distraction for anyone intending to actually play the game, as opposed to using it as a 3D chat room. The player's focus should be on the game, rather than on some little blinking thing in the corner.
I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.
