EDIT: Btw. I think that link should be found in the tutorial sticky, because, as far as I know, many don't even know it exist. I would like to see more animation-mods around here.. =/

I agree, though I doubt the number of animators will increase by that much, just the stance mods :( (which are very easily made).

Indeed. I only know a few people who master it.

Keshire for example. I've often wondered whether its worth learning to use the XSI method, as XSI does have better animation tools.

Been wondering the same thing myself. Manganiac has actually been playing with this a bit for his Bahamut model, though my understanding is if you can get your animations recorded in Mod Tool (using minilogo's biped rig..what else?), export them to .xsi, and import them into BehavEd and get a .gla going, then you should be in good shape. The tricky part is getting that to work and then using GlaMerge to merge the animations.gla file and your animation file together so you can select your animations as the ones you use for stances, attacks, etc. That's all theory though. I'm sure if I and stellcat sat down and traded knowledge and files maybe we could figure it out (maybe not...tricky business), but let's see what you guys come up with :)

I've sent a message to Inyri and Kouen about adding some links about animation in the tutorial sticky. Maybe people wont learn about it and make new mods, but I think the possibility to learn should be there.

Updated the links for Dragon.

Oh, but for future reference, Network Staff and Network Administrators have no powers over the forums. Hence why they don't wear forum staff colors. And no, there's no such thing as "covert moderators", if we're on the forum staff we have to wear our forum colors. I miss my italics... :(

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

Yeah, I noticed.

Well, two links were the same, the Dragon user guide was already in there (albeit commented out by some dumbass vBcode formatting on my part), and the fourth link was dead. :clueless:

Oh, I'm sorry. The third, and most important link, should have been: NEW ANIMATIONS IN JKA/JK2 - HowTo | LucasForums (It's sad that the Filefront equivalent of that thread is too old, because tfighterpilot, among others, told their workflow and problems they met and how they tried to fixed them: http://forums.filefront.com/sw-jk-modding-editing/84836-new-animations-jk2-howto.html) Okay, I'm planning to rewrite the fourth link for jk3 soon anyways. (btw. I can see it) EDIT: I think you should add a headline for animation, because, well, there's one for scripts, and there's only one link under it. Thanks, -- Iswer
