You should also be aware that team skins cannot use different meshes to the default skin.

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

Although if you wanted to you could merge multiple different meshes into one, and have the skin file switch among them.

I'm not even sure I want to begin listing the ways that'd complicate the modelling process....

The Soleutator;4567000A first grader? Then teach me how to weigh a vertice to a bone using 3ds max so I won't be called dumber than a first grader!

I guess I give it the name of being difficult because I have never gotten past the weighing part, just never could figure it out...

select mesh, in mod list. select Skin add bones (jka skeleton)

depending what version of max your using it will give you a breif rig job which is good to import and test then fix what stands out

if you cant follow those instructions then you might want to go back to 1st grade

lol oops! my bad. ok once you have your mesh cut it up into parts and label them correctly. check the tuts 4 the correct names. then link them together making hips the king cheese. (you know what i mean lol)

think that covers it :P

and i didnt intend for it to come out mean but as far as im concerned if they have the program and access to tutorials then theres no excuse for failure

Well, it's nice to see my little comment there sparked a bit of a discussion, but you all kinda missed my point. I said the Assimilate part (that being the five clicks and a two second wait) was easy, not a word about rigging, hierarchy or pivots.
