Can you model stuff for jka with blender?(a free 3d modeling thingy(blender.org )if so how do you convert the .blend file(the type of file blender saves)to whatever jka uses(I am kinda new to modeling :p).
No. Blender lacks a decent .md3 exporter for weapons and has no .xsi exporter to my knowledge, so you can't make JA models in Blender. Though you could export it into a format that GMax can read (like .3ds) and then export it to an .md3 through GMax.
I don't have Gmax though how can i get it?
The tools and tutorials sticky.
Thanks!btw do u happen to know a tutorial or something that i can convert the .blend file too......3ds or whatever u said?
Go to File>export>.3ds. Blender has now converted it into a .3ds file. Now go to GMax, import, 3ds, and import your model.
.......You sure?I don't see .3ds in export.

They're probably not affiliating with each other, since they're competitors. I wouldn't even waste my time trying to find a solution and just get the XSI mod tools.
But don't u have to buy xsi mod tools?
No. You download it from the tutorials sticky.
