Hey, just was wondering if there are any jedi knight 2 or JA compatible bot makers out there. Most of the ones i tried only work on jk2. The npc maker seems to create an .npc file when i think i need a .jkb file. It would be really nice if someone tell me what to do or where i can get a "good" botmaker.

You can make bots with notepad... You don't really need a "bot maker". Just look at other JKB files to see what you need to have in them. I usually just use Kyle's personality file as a template and replace what I want changed.

I was about to create a new topic to post my question... but since I saw this one... ;) I want to edit the bots I have on my JA. I have been playing with notepad, changing names, accuracy, reflex, chat messages, etc. All good till here. But here goes some questions I still don't have answers for (obviously): 1- Is it possible to set the kind of saber a bot will use? For example, make Darth Maul always use a doublesided saber 2- Is it possible to set the color of the bot's saber blade? 3- Is it possible to set the kind of hilt the bot will use? For example, make Count Dooku bot use the Count Dooku hilt I have installed on my JA. Thanks in advance, I am really new to this editing thing. May the Force be with you! Kenjiro

Note this .BOT file I made. I will hilight each portion of your answer with a key below. // This file adds the Jurgan Kalta Armor bot { name "Jurgan Kalta Armor" model jurgan_kalta_armor/default color1 5 color2 5 saber1 "dual_3" saber2 "none" personality /botfiles/jurgan_kalta_armor.jkb } Colors: Blue Saber Type/Hilt: Red Please note that the type (dual, staff, single) and the hilt are the same line. This bot file makes a bot with a staff (purple blade, I think). To find the colors (0-5 are color designations, I believe) try searching the forums, as I never bothered to memorize it. To make dual sabers, you would just put the names of the hilts you want after "saber1" and "saber2". The name you put in these places is the first line (the official designation) of the .sab file of the saber hilt you want to use. If you have any questions, let me know.

Really thanks, buddy. yesterday, searching around this forum I found (on an old topic) the answers to my questions (at least to one of them). Then when I got home I began messing with the bots and hilts files... and I managed to do some nice stuffs (like setting darth maul to use his own double bladed saber). I tried making General Grievous use two different hilts on each hand... but so far it is not working. I did manage to set a green and a blue saber for him, but still haven't set the hilt for his left hand (I believe it would be 'saber2'). Well.. I have to try harder perhaps *LOL* Oh, and the General Grievous I got is all black, even when all the correct images are in the pk3 file (face, head, finger, etc) Really thanks for now.

OK Dokey, I got all stuff running :) Thanks for the tips. Reading another topic on this forum I foud information of a decent G. Grievous, so I downloaded him and everything is cool now. however... is there a limit of saber hilts the game supports? I have a good amount of hilts installed... but then not all of them appear on the selection menu. Plus... some other hilts (those which came with the game) disappear from the menu. Thanks in advance
