Hello friends! I'm somewhat new to skinning. This thread will track my progress with my model... A Bothan!! Isn't he cute?? 3. Any criticism is of course welcome as long as it's constructive. ;) 1. 2.
Don't use meshsmooth. Show wires, you have a few weird shadows.
Thanks for the reply. The top picture #3 is without meshsmooth. Also here is the wiremesh.
i dont know why but that reminds me of a llama-fly hybrid...
Hey, dont make fun of 'em. Many of them died to give us this information.
not makin fun.its just taht wireframe pic. it looks like a fly llama hybrid
what's a bothan? it's actually pretty good for an early try =] looks like you've got the basics of edgelooping down already. which isn't easy to do at all. but you're making the common mistake of trying to work in the details before you've blocked in the basic shapes. also, why is the nose modeled sepperately?
If you've ever played SWBF2 then you'll know that he's the commander class of the rebellion. I believe he used a disentigrator(or however its spelled) and a cloaking device. I'm getting off-topic. Any way, nice job man.
Gir_teh_Almightehwhy is the nose modeled sepperately?
The canine nose was hard to model, so I made it a separate model. I plan on fusing everything together for the final model. And thanks for the encouragement.
these are bothan...
I know those are the bothans from the movies. I'm also aware that someone already made a bothan jedi. But.. I was disappointed that it did not look like the Bothans I've seen in Star Wars Galaxies. Which is how I came to love the furry lil guys. :nodding:
I should show you a picture of what I'm following to make them I guess.
