Ok i've got a map... Details: Total Brushes: 12145 (About 1/3 is detail) Total Entities: 4687 Pictures: At http://www.freewebs.com/ojkclan/access.htm I get max_map_visibility and max_map_entities errors when bsping, but that's normal for me as the map is so huge. (And yes i have done the _blocksize thing;)) To counteract this i use a bsp without -vis, preferably only: Q3Map2: (single) -light -fast -super2 -filter Q3Map2: (single) -light -fast -super2 Q3Map2: (single test) -light -fast Q3Map2: (single test) -light -faster I have done this for quite a while now, but when i bsp it fineshes, I put it into a pk3 and play it, but it's the previous bsp not the most recent... I have been experementing for days now but can't get the most recent bsp of my map. I was thinking you guys could help: A suggestion or me sending the map to you for figuring out would be greatly appreciated. Cheers BlackHunter...

Yeah near enough ;). But this bsp thingy is getting me down, got any ideas?

with such a huge map and that distance, I'd use a fog to block vis after a certain point. Just convert one of ravens maps like hoth2.bsp and take a look at the worldspawn settings. Alos take a look at this -

Theres a tutorial in that thread. However raven uses a different method for their maps, which i found worked better for me than the q3map2 fog cull method, but have a go at both :)

Aside from that, i wouldn't do a bsp without vis - look what happened to midgar :s The best way would be to restructure some areas so vis gets blocked at points, but a fog should be alright :) Possibly get mroe detail brushes. structural brushes block vis but if you can still draw all the way to the end of the map, then perhaps theres no point in making these structural, use more detail. (not on buildings where you go inside though, you can use areaportal doors to sut of outside vis then.
