How can I compile .bsp files to .map? I've seen a link to a program in the master sticky, but that link didn't work...

If you're thinking about decompiling Raven Software's maps, you don't.

If you're thinking about decompiling other people's maps, then prepare to get a verbal bashing for stealing other people's resources.

If you want to decompile your own maps, you should have kept a backup of the .map file in the first place...

Either way, not many people are going to support decompilation, since it's inevitable going to lead to people stealing other people's maps.

It's only for personal use, and if i want to release it i'll contact the author of the original map

And I already saw that link, but the link in it to the decompile program doesn't work...

You shouldn't be decompiling other people's things in the first place. Aside from it being disrespectful, I'm sure you've heard of theft?

If it really means that much to you, ask them *before* you do it, and if they say yes, then there's no real problem. If they say no, respect their wishes. Personal use or not, it's common courtesy, i.e. manners.

Also, if you have GtkRadiant, you already *have* the decompile program. It's the same thing you use to compile them.

You also do realise that decompiling .bsp files screw up the textures, and creat loads of errors in the .map file, I have a good computer and tried to decompile a map of mine, lets just say that there where so many errors on the decompiled map that GTK radiant never opened it.
