Trying to find the old ctf_yavin.map file from JK2. I wanted to edit the map, I know Raven gives this out as part of an editing pack but I only was able to find ns_Streets and bespin. Does anyone have yavin, or know how a way to convert the .bsp to a .pk3 directly? Any help or info would be appreciated.

You can convert bsp to map with q3map2, I think there are a bunch of tutorials about this on Google... But you will lose the alignment of the textures, usually the lights, and misc_models too. And you can get all the released maps by installing Radiant 1.4 :)

Only textures become misaligned, lights and models are left intact (and some tools ie NetRadiant don't do such a bad job of perserving texture data). And that is not true, GtkRadiant doesn't include all the maps, it just includes three sample maps - Kejim Outpost, Nar Shaddaa Streets (and apparently Bespin Streets too??)

JK2 and JK3 .maps are virtually the same...(hint: there's no Siege/Powerduel maps in JK2, and no Jedi Master/Holocron stuff in JKA) and so are the .bsps. And I lied, Radiant includes (from JA): Taspir Siege Hoth Duel8 Ctf4 t1_rail t2_rancor t3_rift kor1 From JK2, it includes: Cairn Docks Bespin Exhaust Shafts Warring Factions duel_valley (nonexistent in base JK2??) Kejim Outpost

And no, there are no more released maps officially by Raven (though I'm sure that if you poked around enough, you might run into an ffa_bespin.map, but that's about it)

And if you use NetRadiant, light/model info is preserved, a little bit of texture info is saved as well (even works on SoFII maps surprisingly enough)

Well, in GTK Radiant I usually lose lights, etc. I don't even know what NetRadiant is, but I don't think I'd need it :P

Btw I don't think it's a problem speaking about something else, Loki got response for his question :D
