I need help, the problem is stupid but i will never solve it alone :( I want to listen music while playing jedi academy so i made music.pk3 file and inside folder 'music' and tossed there one song called 'ns' (random name). But in game every time i wrote in console /music music/ns i got message 'source file is not sampled 44100'. I thought that songs maybe has too big quality so i compressed it with dBpoweramp program to low quality and i still cant listen it in game  Can you tell me what must be bitrate ,sample rate ,etc so i can play it in game. And is there mod who remove those limits? sorry for horribly english

Bitrate: 128kbps Frequency: 44100Hz Stereo

Make sure your bitrate isn't set to Variable Bit Rate, otherwise your filesize will be unnecessarily bloated, and the MP3 might not work at all (personally I never use VBR so I don't know, but some report not working and others report working).

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

Finally it works, thank you Kouen!!Everything you said is true and one of main problems was variable bit rate.I converted songs to mp3 with total video converter( dBpoweramp is not good for this job :/), also installed music changer maker 1.08 and everything works perfect :) .

I've used music at 160 kbps as well. It seemed to work just fine, but that needs some testing.

I use Audacity with the lame_enc.dll encoder. It makes some good mp3s, and the software is free & fully functional.
