I've been wondering for some time now, can I change the font library of JKA ?(if so, how?) I was hoping to use a custom font for a new menu I'm making. Thnx for all info given.
In assets1.pk3 there is a folder: "fonts". In this there are a few *.fontdat file...I think you should to edit these...and in the tga files there are fonts in the alpha....
I believe it's possible for the main menu as Editor pointed out but I don't think you can change the in-game font.
I know about the map fonts in the assets file, but the problem is JKA uses .fontdat files instead of .ttf files. So does anybody know how to convert a font to .fontdat?
Yeah, you can convert ttf to .fontdat - Wudan made a program called JAfont which you can get by downloading the OJP source from svn (it'll be in the Utilities folder) - go to Accessing the OJP Source - LucasForums to see how to get the ojp source.
Jedi academy has a .TGA file somewhere in the assets that it chops and uses for the letters... Give me a second to find it and I'll edit this post.
EDIT: Found it!
assets1.pk3/gfx/2d/charsgrid_med.tga
You'll need to activate the alpha channel to see the letters.
Does anyone have this JAFont file? Link is dead ;/ Thanks
Which link? There is only one link in this topic, which one is working fine...
As i said. I'm looking for JAFont, and all links in all threads r dead.
i think he means the assets1.pk3/gfx/2d/charsgrid_med.tga and that's not a link like that it just shows were in the game the fronts are located
