I still wouldn't be able to find any kind of help. If not from people helping me on my mod, mabye a tutorial. I know how to map, except for one thing, which would be getting NPCs into cutscenes, and I'm a beginner at scripting as well.

How are you mapping w/o JKA?

GtkRadiant runs standalone.

Look, a full-fledged project is a tough climb for even the most experienced modders. You need to start small, and work your way up. Try to run before you can even crawl, and you're really defeating yourself before you have a fair chance to develop.

Give yourself a chance. Get to grips with various aspects of the engine, increase your efficacy, and once you get to higher skill levels then it's much more reasonable to dream big.

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

I still can't find anything on cutscenes. I'd say that is the next step, because I have done everything on the list up to cutscenes. I know how to map out and script the cameramoves, but I can't get npcs to show up. And I'm mapping for Jedi Outcast, because the engines are close enough to being the same.

In the "JKA Modding Tutorials & Tools" sticky, you'll find a link to Kengo's scripting tutorials (under Scripts), which covers cutscenes.

Kengo's tutorials are on Geocities, which is shutting down shortly (on Oct. 26). If you want them, you better save 'em before they're gone.

That's how I know everything I do about cutscenes. Those tutorials don't cover npc-filled cutscenes.

I don't know of any other tutorials about cutscenes, I'm afraid. But I'd suggest having a look at the sp script sources for jk2/3 and seeing how it's done there. They're to be found in these packages (Tools\SPscripts.zip resp. Tools\JAscripts.zip):
JK2 Editing Tools (2.0)

Jedi Academy SDK (MP)
I didn't learn much, so I'd kind of like an expert on cutscenes to answer my question. Thanks to everyone for trying.
