harryvader13;5036976Is it so far into production as my project? And are you sure it is going to be exactly the same? I've seen many people to have made 1 certain mod seperately. They were different, but they were the same idea.
Hm...I guess you guys are talking about my mod.Botdra Lar'les;5036981They are much farther ahead than you are, my friend, much.Naw, you're sweet :> - And this is true.
Exactly how far? And what about my other question?
Well, I'd say we're nearing first public beta...And this isn't just a map pack with a few scripts, I'm talking a total conversion like MB2.
So you're right, we're not going to do something exactly the same - Although we're going to have Cooperative play later on.. Not trying to discourage you or anything, but large projects like these go down rather often, and you're going to need some very skilled (and dedicated) people. You can't just expect them to come along.
My advice; Start small and work your way up. Ambition is useful, but don't be foolish with it.
-=*Ráz0r*=-;5042838Hm...I guess you guys are talking about my mod.
What do you mean? He was talking about Blue Stormtrooper's mod.
It was the whole 'Large mod about clone wars who are further ahead' that got me thinking that...apologies if they were indeed talking about something else. However, I still stand by what I said :)
You have got people to help you. I know I haven't shown a lot of progress, but I really can't without the game. Or enough help.
Game first. Help second.
So I guess I should wait for Christmas.
Realisticly yes. It is hard to get motivated for a project when the lead has no idea of the feel of the gameplay. Even with the demo you can't get a true grasp of what you could do mapping wise.

This isn't true. I've only recently been able to get a bit of help. I had completed 80% of the mod before anybody started to give a rats ass. People just don't take kindly to the 'Well I've got this idea, and I think you should make it' approach (I know that's not the exact approach you're taking, but still)
It's good to see you're motivated, and the more you update us, the more likely it is people will help out. It's a three-way-road between you giving, receiving help from others, and being noticed by the 'public'
Good luck, find your place, and have fun.
Thank you. That really helps.
