Well hell, I stand corrected. =p

Still dubious of the scale inside the ship, it might not give you much room to work with. Personally what I'd do is bind all the brushes which make up the ship's exterior, into a misc_group. Depending on how expansive you want the interior to be it's possible you'll need to scale it at some point anyway, although the height of the saucer section might actually make up for the width if you plan on keeping the interior conservative in scale.

Or maybe it's just me who goes through map units like crazy. When I map, 2048 units runs out a hella lot faster than it should. :Puzzled:

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

actually depending on the class, and number, it looks like enterprise ncc-1701-b think needs a bit more lighting but keep it up

Not really. It`s closer to NCC 1701-A, which is Constitution class refit.

this needs to be WAY bigger, but still looks awsome, it should look like the original Enterprise (not from the new movie) or maybe even the Enterprise from after First Contact you know the sweet looking one.

Tricorder is right. The pictures I've been modelling it after is the -A refit.

Suprise suprise, Tricorder getting it right XD

Kudos for you, man!

Here's what im planning for the interior.

I will, Indeed be binding all the external parts together (Eventually, when im comfortable with when they're done). I will have a few rooms actually INSIDE the ship. However, I will be using warp-points to give the theatrical-illusion of a larger ship. I will also be using cameras so that players can see the outside of the ship from the inside. Im debating if I want to REALLY get crazy and give people the ability to fight on the top of the saucer.

BTW:

Can someone give me a guide as to how to use your own textures and apply them in GTK radiant?

1) Tricorder is a Girl

2) To make your own textures:

1. Make the texture in a an image editor and flip it so it's mirrored and save as jpg file(instead of normal, not two pictures being mirror images of each other)

2. Create a shader, either using a text editor, or the Shader Editor in the JAMP SDK.

3. Make a folder in the "textures" folder in your base folder and name it something you can remember, and put the jpg and the shader in that folder. (If there is no "textures" folder, make one in your base folder (name it without the quotes))

4. Start GTK Radiant (You shouldn't have it open while doing this, restart if it was open)

5. On the Textures Menu, find the name of your folder and there are your textures

6. When you make the PK3, put a folder called "textures" (no quotation marks) in it with the folder you made with the custom textures in it

7. Run the map

I hope that helps you!

Your warp engines are a tad too low, and the engineering section is a tad too long. :D

The warp engines should be a tad above the saucer and almost touching it.

That's if I remember correctly.

I like what I see so far, though. I hope to see you take your time and make it look really nice. If you have any questions, we're always (errr....USUALLY) happy to answer them.

Erm...Making my own shaders isnt going so well...

A few questions...

First off, Do my textures NEED shaders?

What format should my textures be in?

Is there a pre-made template for shader-scripts?
