Hey. I just started using GTK Radiant 1.5.0. I wanted to edit one sjc's map (that one was named "sjc_j2.bsp"). I've added some entities (target_level_change, a few npc_spawners) and edited jabba's palace door to jump to fire target while it's opening (target). And the problem is that when I wanna build "BSP map" ("(Build->Q3Map2: (final) BSP -meta, -vis, -light -fast -filter -super 2 -bounce 8"). If I push this button popup called "GTK Radiant" goes up and much text appears there. Suddenly in line "FaceBSP" it stops and after 5 minutes it goes next. After some time this popup closes. I went to the catalog where was a decompiled map (E:\map\) and the only one new file that I can see is "tatooinedesert.prt" ("tatooinedesert" is a rename). But I cannot see any new .bsp file. I looked in jk3 gamedata/base/maps dir, but there's no this map I've edited. Help!

Starting mapping from decompiled maps is not the best idea.

You should lern some mapping basics, before compiling complex maps.

Decompiled maps are always buggy and even advanced mappers have problems to repair it.

Anyway, map decompiling is meant for eductional purposes for advanced mappers, you should never use it as base for new map, especially if you do not have permissions from original author.

You can already find few mapping tutorials on our new mapping site (link see my signature, go to WiKi)

After compiling your map, you should to check the log-file for errors and warnings.

I recommend to use Q3map2GUI or other q3map2 user interface for maps compiling.

Radiant compiling is a bit buggy and slow.

Cheers, Arth

I just wanted to add some entities to check if something works. Well I am too lazy to read all tutorials about making the map.

Anyway thanks.
