Yeh, I was wondering. I'm using GTK Radiant 1.4.0 to map, but what option do I choose when it's time to compile? Help appreciated.
always choose "q3map2/q3map2: (single) BSP -meta" as the first one. then you can choose another for "improving" your compilation. the ones with "-light" got lights, and the ones with "-final" can take very long but this makes everything as good as it can be.
And that did not work. It says it gets disconnect, and does not compile correctly :/
"Writing C:/Program Files/LucasArts/Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/GameData/Base/maps/testmap.srf Writing C:/Program Files/LucasArts/Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/GameData/Base/maps/testmap.bsp Storing lightgrid: 0 points Wrote 0.0 MB (7588 bytes) 1 seconds elapsed Disconnecting Connection closed."
youre using "q3map2/q3map2: (single) BSP -meta", right?
Yes, I did -_-
when it says disconecting connection closed it means that it is done compiling.check for the bsp file. if it is not there find out if you have leaks. also you are using 1.4? that's an outdated version.
well.. yea, 1.4 is out of date, but it is more stable than 1.5. I, personally, prefer the newest version of 1.5 tho..
1.5 ewwwie.... how i go about compiling, bsp -vis, then bsp single..... (so on) -vis I find is the very first initial stage to making a map playable, then I go off to single test or single... then make my way to final.. Thing I see is that bsp is a series of steps to adding touches to a map, and adding features as well.. But more or less each bsp has its own special feature but most importantly each step!
