Hey guys its Cheese! Two people have pointed me to a really great tutorial site (http://richdiesal.jedioutcastmaps.com/tutorials/). Its great from what I've read so far, but for some reason he never completed it. Designed on a college class format, i.e., General Concepts 101, Brushes 202, etc. It apparantly was supposed to go al the way into the 400's level, but for some reason he stopped making tutorials. My plea: If any experienced mappers would be interested in conitnuing his work in the same format, (very easy for noobs to understand, since I am one :D ) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! post here. For the good of the community! I know there's a lot of creative poeple out there, but this is some complicated stuff! So please guys, continue the work of Rich Diesel. (Oh yeah, and check out his site so you know what I'm talking about!)
There are plenty of other tutorials out there to complete Rich's tutorials.
I think it would be awsome for someone to be allowed to fill in the empty tutorials on diesels site! Anyone ever hear what happened to Rich? Peace!
Well, like LK said, there are other tutorials. And besides, when you have completed those Rich's tutorials, you should be already pretty capable of seeking more specific information all by yourself and just do things by trial and error.
I mean, there are still lingering old people like me and many others, who didn't have the luxury of having any extensive tutorials at our disposal, when we were learning. And we did quite alright, in the end.
Not everything is served ready, nor should it be. Otherwise we would only get clones of the same maps and not different styles at all.
