I made a couple of guns for JA and they look jaw droppin in 3rd person but a quick switch to 1st person brings the jaw back up. I don't know how to make it show up in first person, do you need to make a different file or what?
Here's a few teasers of my Beretta 92FS model taken from a screenshot in milkshape, hope you like it.
Hmm. It seems to me that the first-person view uses a 2D image file. But I'm no modeller, so don't ask me. That's just a theory.
Yeah, I kinda thought that too when I looked at the Disruptor Rifle in 1st person, you can see one of the hands holding it, and the hand is gloved. Then I checked my model in 3rd person to see if it had a glove, and no dice. The question still remains, how do I make it show up in 1st person? Make some kind of 2D pic? Or am I doing something wrong with my model?
If the model is called beretta.md3 try to call the other first person one beretta_hand.md3
That's what I learned from the pk3, I never modeled weapons
I tried to open bowcaster_hand.md3 in 3D Studio Max, and it was an empty file. There was nothing in it, not even one polygon
lol if u open the bowcaster_hand.md3 up in md3view though it shows a picture of the bowcaster, but when I open it up in milkshape, like you said its empty. Neway, i got the beretta to work in first person, but my new gun, a MP5 won't show in first, so i'll just have to keep trying to figure it out lol.
