Um... Hello. I wanted to create a custom menu for some testing purposes... but... I really don't know how Lol, is there a tutorial anywhere or anyone who wouldn't mind giving me a step-by-step? It'd be greatly appreciated. What I wanted to do is create a whole new type of menu, with the buttons in whole new places... like Having the Jk3 menu have the buttons where they are in the Jk2 menu, I don't really know how to explain it, hope you understand what I mean, Thank alot for any help.
go Look in the UI folder of Assets1, open all the .menu Files with Notepad... And... Well, its very orgainized, if you have logic, it shouldnt be too hard to figre out
Also look for HUD editing tutorials - they rely on the same .menu formatting and you'll get some tips from there.
Oh, and somebody I know is working on a graphical interface for .menu files, so you can just drag'n'drop, resize, etc without having to change the .menu file with notepad. Not sure when it will be finished/released.
Now that would be awesome! Would it work for hud's too?
Do you know who makes it, and with which language? Cuz I wanted to make one too with Delphi, but I haven't time yet :P
I'm not sure if they want me to release any more details, but it's written in VB.NET.
