I am making a map which has a part in it with a room full of stormtrooper bodies (Yay!). But I need to know: how do you place dead characters into a map? Any help would be much appreciated :).

Okay, here's how you would do it. For example, the Dark Forces mod placed dead Rebel Soldiers in the Talay map. Make sure you turn the Stormtrooper model into an MD3 so it will be a static model. For an example, I am going to copy and paste the first line that was in the Talay map, to give you an idea of how it's done:

"model" "models/map_objects/new/deadrebel1.md3" "origin" "5952 7264 152" "classname" "misc_model_static" "angle" "225"

And so on and so forth. I hope this makes sense.

Thanks a lot but, in T1_Fatal, there were bodies which could be manipulated just like real bodies with force choke. That's the effect I was looking for. But if I cannot achieve it I will use MD3's like you suggested.

I've always given the NPCs a spawnscript that kills them and forces them to maintain their death pose.

//Generated by BehavEd

kill ( "self" ); set ( /*@SET_TYPES*/ "SET_ANIM_BOTH", /*@ANIM_NAMES*/ "BOTH_DEATH25" ); set ( /*@SET_TYPES*/ "SET_ANIM_HOLDTIME_BOTH", -1 );

You can go through the list of death animations and choose the poses you want.

I'll have to replay t1_fatal because I don't remember being able to use force choke on dead bodies. I think you can use it shortly after you've killed them though.

Unlike most people, I've always been able to manipulate dead bodies after death, but thanks for the solution, I'll try it.
