Hi, I've a strange question... Can I somehow fix that problem with the stormtrooper, when we cut him to half, his body isn't bloody, there is a grey texture?...It's working fine with the all of the other NPCs...only the stormtrooper isn't, and only this part of his body....and it's ugly.... I tried to fix it in his SKIN file, but I couldn't... Thanks the helps:D
either the texture doesnt exist, the uv maps on the model arent there or the skin file has spelling errors.
You should see a yellow error message somewhere in the console that tells you what texture is giving trouble.
yes, just start up MP and just do the devmap command and spawn one and read the error message in the console after cutting him down. you probably wouldnt see it in single player cause the load of a level floods to console and you probably wont be able to do page up that far back.
I think there's a way to log the console...somehow.
The starting game console logs everything from the ingame console... But I forgot how to minimize the game and still see that console
Anyway, in-game you could use page up and page down buttons to read through the consol...
Yes, I know how to use the console...but it's the basic stormtrooper, and I think the editros of the game made this bug....or to you it's working, or yours is grey too?
DrAshgod;4804495The starting game console logs everything from the ingame console...
I don't think there is a way to see it without crashing the GUI. Besides, the in-game console truncates old data. But the startup console doesn't...when there's too much data, it simply dumps everything and starts over. So I don't think that'll help...

It sounds like a mod conflict or a misspelling of the texture name.
Did you try Minilogoguy's suggestion of starting the map in MP?
Try the following: Extract assets1.pk3\models\players\stormtrooper\model_default.skin, open it in Notepad and add the following line: hips_cap_torso_off,models/players/stormtrooper/caps.tga
Pack it up in a pk3 and see what happens. (I'm no skinning expert, so I'm not sure if it'll work; just an educated guess).
if you use the proper paths yea it should work. You'd just have to name it with something that DOESNT start with the letter A or a Number so it reads it After the PK3.
