Is it Possible to replace the Interrogator Droid ( Vjun2 level SP and SW Ep 4 ) with a flying Creture like Watto ( SW Ep 1 & 2 ), complete with sounds ?

I have tried to replace the Assassin droid and the saberdroid with Magnaguard Droids but that does not work for some reason.

It´s way easier to replace Human NPCs.

Iwould like to replace the Howlers ( 1st and 2nd Yavin level with Aliens (Alien vs Predator), but i dont know if there is such a skin, and it´s even possible?

If someone could help me? Please...!

It's possible. You need to animate the model, but it's possible.

And the reason why you couldn't use the magnaguard to replace the training droid is because the former uses the _humanoid skeleton, while the latter has its own set of animations.

I have found the Alien Model, but it has unkwown file extensions, perhaps for Modeling. That is not good because i have no idea how to do that. Anyway thank you.

I have a Watto Model found, it is for JOutcast, and it has a animation file. Is it possible to put it as new PK3 to replace the Interrogator ?

But i think it is not that easy,isn´t it?

Is there a way to replace the default animation to make the Magna work?:confused:

but that does not work. I have tried with a modified Original .npc, with the one from the Magnaguard.PK3, i have copied the animationfile from the saberdroid folder... it did not work. 2 times i had to reboot my Computer cause JA crashes, because of the files i have "created".

The only thing i could try is a different animationfile,perhaps Cultist or reborn, or make a request here on the Forum. Crap...

well next try...:(

The magnaguard has no anim file, it moves like a cultist with staff...

and i thought this would be easy.....

That's kind of right. Player models use the default player GLA (anims). Things like the saber droid, the howler, and the interrogator droid each have different GLA files. So it's not that the magnaguard doesn't have animations, it's just using pre-existing ones. This is why it's so important for all player models to use the same skeleton -- because they all need to match up with the pre-existing animations!

You will not, for instance, be able to get the saber droid to do any player animations because its skeleton doesn't read that animation file (GLA). For the same reason you can't get a magnaguard to use the saber droid's animations, because it is calling up a different GLA file. The only way to do this would be to rig the magnaguard model to the saber droid's skeleton (I'm not sure if that exists in a usable form).

i thought the gla that models used other than _humanoid was in the model folder. like r2d2's is in models/players/r2d2
