Is it possible to change the weapons so that they don't have an alternate fire? So I could make a shotgun replace the flechette and it wouldn't shoot out grenades?

Also, can I speed the shots up so they're more like bullets and less like lasers?

Thanks for helping

While you probably couldn't get rid of alt-fire entirely, you could try recoding the gun to shoot shotgun shells in both primary and alt fire modes. As for speed, I'm sure you could, but I'm not much for modifying guns so I don't know. I'll play around with it and try and find out for you though.

yes and yes. But you need some C programming knowledge, the JKA SDK, and a compiler.

I don't know what c programming is so that's probably a bad sign

ok, I looked on google and know what c programming is now at least . . . but that doesn't exactly help me, because like you said, I have to have some knowledge. I don't even know where to go to change the stuff, so an different way of changing things is definately preferable. (sorry if I sound like a retarded little noob who doesn't listen to the wisdom from the people that know these things, but I guess I am)

but um, what does the weapons.dat do? I tried changing the alt fire in there, and all I managed to do was speed up the rate of fire. Is there a way to change the alternate fire in with that?

one more thing: if it would be easier, would I be able to make multiple keys for the alt fire so for the guns I didn't want the altfire on, I could just make it some hidden key like page down or something, while having the scope on the disruptor be left mouse?

thanks for helping me!

Download the JKA SDK (software development kit), there's a very basic tutorial in there on how to get started with this stuff.

So that's what the codemp stuff in the sdk is. I've had the Sdk for a while, and thought that had something to do with multiplayer.

anyway, that tutorial in there is helpful, but there's the undeniable fact that I don't have Microsoft Visual C++. So thanks for the support and help, but I can't code stuff.

again, thanks anyway.
