hi, i've been fiddling around with effectsED for some time now, but i still dont know how to make a streamlined smoke or flowing water effect. hope u know wht i mean.
Do you know how the particle system works? It's not too difficult once you know how to make particles and give them motion & gravity. It also helps to know how shaders work.
u got tutorials for that? i know the effect part, but i dont know about shaders...
Doesn't look like the master sticky has any tutorials, just a link to the shader manual. I'll see if I can convince a shader-guru-buddy to write up a quick-start shader tutorial.

ok, just so that i dont waste another thread i dont have 3dsmax, but wht program is good for player models? Xsi mod tool, milkshape, or Gmax?
