ALright here is the deal. I'm making a weapon mod and everything is going pretty well. But when I try to redo- the bowcaster ... Milkshape is being a crybaby and won't let me. I mean, get all the model, and actualy its not the first I made. Others weapons works just fine, and the bowcaster everytime I try to save it as MD3 it says something like

did you save a .QC for your model ? you have to do so else you cant export your model as MD3

you create a QC file like this : you have to click "tools/Quake III Arena/Generate Control File"

if you do so you'll end up with a file like this :

// Quake III Arena MD3 control file, generated by MilkShape 3D // $model "models/players/model/model.md3" // reference frame //$frames -1 -1 // frame 1-1 $frames 1 1 $flags 0 $numskins 0

// you can have one or no parent tag

// tags

// you can have one or no parent tag //$parenttag "tag_1" //$parenttag "tag_2"

// tags $tag "tag_1" $tag "tag_2"

// meshes (surfaces) $mesh "mesh" $skin "models/players/model/skin.tga" $flags 0

you have to edit it so that it looks like this :

// Quake III Arena MD3 control file, generated by MilkShape 3D // $model "models/weapons2/bowcaster/bowcaster.md3" // reference frame //$frames -1 -1 // frame 1-1 $frames 1 1 $flags 0 $numskins 0

// you can have one or no parent tag

// tags

// you can have one or no parent tag //$parenttag "tag_weapon" //$parenttag "tag_flash"

// tags $tag "tag_weapon" $tag "tag_flash"

[COLOR=Red]// meshes (surfaces) $mesh "'yourmeshname'" $skin "models/weapons2/bowcaster/'yourtexturename'.tga" $flags 0[/COLOR]

you can duplicate the red part as often as you have groups in your model file
