Ok Ive tried searching all over this forum for the elevators that im looking for. But I cant seem to find them. I wanted to make an elevator like the sith council map(just using this as example), where you click the button for the elevator to come up. When the elevator gets to you, it opens the doors to the elevator also. THen you get in and you hit another button to go down and out the doors. There is also a button for the elevator to come down.

Did I explain that good enough? If so can someone help me out? lol. IM not shure if I searched with the wrong wording. But once again if you could help me out that would be greatly appreciated.

ok sry for the double post, but I was also wondering how to make doors open going up instead of opening going to the side.

open sith counsil map and see how they did it-

the door direction?

key: angle value: -1 it's an option in the entity window "up"

Ive dont that, I mean Ive looked through it and I cant find the .map file. Anyways didnt know if I should be doin that lol.

awesome, Another question was if anyone might know this, I wanted to have a chair that would have a trap to it. It would be triggered by a switch of course. I wanted it to electrocute the person if someone hits the switch. Does anyone know how to do this?

ummm not exacly sure on this one, But i think i remember seeing a fx on the uprising 3 map of lighting or electrity and hurting them, now u could have that and a hurt on the chair... not sure if that will make it look like the guy is being shocked like lighting the force power does..... i am just thinking off the top of my head right now so not sure how much of this is true... But hey, if u find out how, i could use this in my caves as a trap, PM me or e-mail if u do find out how, thx

you couldn't find the .map file because you have to decompile the .bsp-

this explains how it's done - it's a good thing to know how to do- http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=124278&highlight=decompile

about electricuting- You can't electricute someone in MP with that cool effect that is used in SP. if you notice on trigger_hurts while in sp mapping mode there is a spawnflag that says "electrical"

that's how you get the effect and if you test your map in SP it works-

however unfortunatly this doesn't seem to work in MP-

Please correct me if i'm wrong but I don't think i am. try it your self I'm sure you could do this with a bit of playing around- it would require a bit of effect modding

I would go for a bunch of fx_runners with the key: fxFile value: electricity

targeted towards the chair- with the damage spawnflag checked
