When I was searching through the SDK and noticed that there were more saber types than just single and staff.

typedef enum { SABER_NONE = 0, SABER_SINGLE, SABER_STAFF, SABER_DAGGER, SABER_BROAD, SABER_PRONG, SABER_ARC, SABER_SAI, SABER_CLAW, SABER_LANCE, SABER_STAR, SABER_TRIDENT, SABER_SITH_SWORD, NUM_SABERS } saberType_t;

I tried putting these in a .sab file but had no luck getting them to work. I know that "SABER_SITH_SWORD" is used in Lugormod so I was wondering if anybody had any experience with these. If these could actually be used in-game as different styles it would be interesting to see what modders could make with them.

I'm betting those had more to do with brainstorming then what was expected to make it in game. A lot of those saber types can be achieved through saber hilt modelling and .sab file manipulation. EX: dagger: make the blade in the sab file short (~10) and give the Tavion/Desann styles broad: make the blade thicker and only give the heavy styles prong: model a saber with two blade emitters arc: no idea what this is sai: there are a few on jk3files. model a saber with 3 blades and scale them correctly claw: model a claw, use the bolt to wrist command in a sab file lance: dunno. make some new attacks on the swoop and make an appropriate model star: WTF trident: model one and give the staff style sith sword: use the sith_sword saber command to get Ragnos sword.

Some of these weapons could use new styles but someone would have to make them.

Actually, I think Escape from Yavin IV used them. Like The Star Staff, That thing that looks liked a mace. There was also a disc.

But those did not have anything to do with coding. He made all those 'types' of sabers by making models and .sab file manipulation.

That mod is a good example of what you can do without the sp code.
