Okay, so I've got a question for anybody with decent scripting experience. Is it possible, using a script, to have the camera view fade to black before you enter a teleporter, then fade back after teleportation? I'm working on a map where entering a door will teleport you somewhere else, but without a proper fade effect it just doesn't look right. And, as stated in the title, this is for multiplayer. Thanks in advance. :)

Honestly, I don't know. There's a SET(SET_TYPES) variable for that. You might try using that. If not, I really have no idea.

Hmm, there was an option for fading in and out videos but not the actual game image. I have discovered that there are options to fade out from camera views, but not the game camera as far as I can tell so far.

I've been trying that by modifying the spawn effect. I have it set up where it should fade in when you spawn/teleport, but the effect just remains completely opaque until the effect runs up and dissapears. I haven't been able to figure out if it's a problem in the effect or the shader. Any help in that regard would be appreciated.

Hmmm, as soon as I get the copy I ordered of Jka ill start testing some ideas I have, and post em up here if i get it working again. I remember I changed some of the telportation stuff before such as the green flash to a blue beam, and you had a sparkle effect on you for a few secounds after words. Also I just thought of this before I go, you might want to look at the effect trigger hurt uses when its set to a -1 value it has a fade to blkack effect, im sure you could some how script it so when the player walks through it playes that effect then create i guess the reverse of that effect and have it play when they are finished being teleported.

I forgot about the fade effect when you fell in a pit, so I'll look at that and try to figure something out. Thanks for the heads-up. :)
