Go to assets1/ext_data/weapons.dat. Find the weapons you want to change and edit the line firetime (I think that's what it's called) Follow it with a number, the number of milliseconds between shots.

ok download pakscape open assets1 go to ext data/weapons.dat open that file with note pad edit it save it paste it into your pk3 replacing the old one.

and edit firerate in weapons . dat and it would make a blaster fire like say a repeator.

Yeah, simply edit that line. If you want a quicker firing rate, decrease the number, if you want it slowy, increase the number. And it is firetime, not firerate. (there are instructions in the .dat file)

I've tried that, but it doesn't work: says something about how because the file has read-only attributes, it can't replace the file. It will only save it as a .txt file. Will that still work, or is there some way to save a .dat file with some other program?
