There is a series of missing letters in the console text font that can be added (in gfx/2d/charsgrid_med.tga). Here is the list:

Spoiler: Show
¢ Cent Sign £ Pound Sign ¤ Currency Sign ¥ Yen Sign ¦ Broken Bar § Section Sign ¨ Umlaut ª Feminine Ordinal Indicator « Left-Pointing Double Angle Quotation Mark ¬ Not Sign - Soft Hyphen ¯ Macron ° Degree Sign ± Plus-Minus Sign ² Superscript 2 ³ Superscript 3 ´ Accute Accent µ Micro Sign ¶ Pilcrow Sign · Middle Dot ¸ Cedilla ¹ Superscript 1 º Masculine Ordinal Indicator » Right-Pointing Double Angle Quotation Mark ¼ Vulgar Fraction One-Quarter ½ Vulgar Fraction One Half ¾ Vulgar Fraction Three-Quarters

EDIT: It's done, download it here: http://www.filefront.com/17195487/fixedconsole.zip

I assume this requires a client plugin?

If so, you can skip Lugormod.

It's not a code revelation, but rather a graphical one, and it works cross-mod and in singleplayer as well.

I don't see how it couldn't be a code mod...

In order for the console to load the right characters, it has to know where to look.

Unless they were already coded in, just not completed...

He said its not a code revelation, i.e. not some great idea that is difficult to acchieve. It is still a code mod.

It is not a code mod.

That's exactly what I meant when I said "it's a graphical revelation". It was done by simply modifying the charsgrid_med.tga. They were, in fact, included in the game, but never added to the character grid. I will show you some screenshots proving this.

Note that I typed in all of the letters, proving that I did not replace any letters, and that I took this screenshot in singleplayer.

That means nothing. Even if it was a code mod, adding new letters would require engine hacking to do. Which is in fact, difficult.

So I was right: They're already coded in, just not finished. =p
