is their a way to get buttons activated with force push ? I need thatz for a map the button is supposed to open a secret door after it moved inside the wall
Assuming you are using a func_static entity, in the entity window tick "f_push" to allow it to be used by force pushing, tick "f_pull" to allow it to be used by force pulling it.

thanks :) I also have a wierd problem with fx_runner entities I'm doing everything right just like in the tutorials and still the effect doesnt show up ingame :confused:
dont include the .efx bit at the end, just put "effects/env/small_fire_LOD"
it still doesnt work :( the ffect doesnt show up I dont know why

Check the console in game to see if there are any error messages. Also, make sure it's not inside anything (solid).
The _LOD effect uses distance culling as well, so make sure you aren't checking it from beyond the limit (though I doubt that's the case - the limit is probably quite far).
hmm i duplicated your setting in radiant and it worked fine.
Ive attached a map consisting of a small room with the effect you are trying to use. Try opening it up in radiant and see if I am doing anything different with it to waht you are doing.
I've just fixed it shows the effect if I type KEY : fxfile VALUE: env/small_fire_LOD
