I've been trying to make a skin look like a force ghost sorta like this: http://starwars.wikia.com/images/thumb/7/72/Jedi.jpg/300px-Jedi.jpg

I want to know how to make a skin be transparent and have a blue tint to it.

Thanks.

... it is definately possible, in fact I've seen it done... Look on jk3files for a skin called "reborn ghost" and pester the author about it.

Its done with shaders. All you need is to give all the parts oof your skin a blue tint and add a transparency shader.

Well if it's Shaders you can best check the shaders in the ones that are allready done in ghosty look...

It's a .shader file in the shader map...

Something I was wondering about with regard to this: I wanted to make hologram effect, can I apply the transparency shader, and a glow shader? (The one which makes a texture show at 100 percent illumination no matter what the lighting is) So if I had a trnaslucent section, it would glow like the holograms for SW. http://www.starwars.jp/character/image/darth_sidious.jpg (basically like this)

Yeah, shaders arent limited to one thing at a time. Thats just what most people do.

You cant just put the shader in, you have to open it up and edit it so that it works with your skin.

Yeah, you have to edit the filepaths to point to the right skin images.
