Okay, I was messing around with console cmds and happened upon the g_knockback cmd, and really liked the power it added to the Push and Pull powers:daddy: but it would also increase the power of the kick when using melee(or npc jedi kicks) to the point where I would have to download a Hulk skin to make it feel right.:eek: Anyway, I decided to just modify push and make it better, but I've been poking around for a bit and I cant find anything in my game files related to the force powers, and I cant find any tutorials on how to find any of this either:bawl:. Anyway, it would be great if anyone could point me in the right direction, cause I know its possible(cause its done in the ForceMod III). Thanks in advance to whomever can tell me where to find the files related to push and pull!:bows::bows::bows:

id prolly edit the amount of "MOVE" (in animevents.cfg") that youd assign to the actual "pushed" anim.. that way everytime the enemy does the "pushed" anim, or whatever its called when u push them, u can "push" them back further, rather animate them pushed further lol.. get me? itd work.. unless being pushed is the same anim as being kicked lol then were back to square 1

Forcemod 3 is an MP mod right ? If it is it involves Coding I cant tell you much about how that would work there

you can get the G_knockback to effect only forcepush though and that wouldnt require anything else than some more cmds and a bind command

I've done this for my TFU force push which i'm still finishing for release (i'm having some trouble with the effect)

By the way ChalklYne, where do I find the animevents.cfg? I've definitly seen it before, but I cant think where...

about chalks idea : well his idea is good allthough there's 1 problem the game doesnt allwaysplay the pushed animations when you force push someone often they continue their current animation instead of playing the push animation

you find animevents.cfg in assets1.pk3/models/players/_humanoid/animevents.cfg

Yes, I've noticed they dont always play those anims, which does pose a problem to Chalks idea, though it would still work most of the time.

nah ashuras dead right man.. i 4got i had mine like that a while ago when i was perfecting my repulse.. yeah make a cfg... then have that cfg binded to your force push button..ie go ahead and bind h to "exec push" then create a push.cfg... withhin it put something like g_knockback XXX (whatever u want your knockback to be) force_throw+ wait 30 force_throw- g_knockback XX (whatever your default knockback would be)

something like that... thats just off the top of my head.. go ashura

thats exactly how it works if you then use animevents.cfg for the effect everythings perfect aslong as you align the direction of the effect right >_>U

you can also do this by using a few cfg files :
