1. Create invisible copies of entities all over the place 2. Scripts have a "redneck toilet" approach to them, you need to "jingle the handle a bit" to get them to work. 3. Some entities refuse to show up at all ingame. I have to recreate them in order to work. 4. Probably some other stuff I've forgotten 5. I'm using 1.4, if that helps...

Is there a logical explanation for any of this?

1) Seems like an issue more or less with you. Are you hitting undo again while in the middle of a previous undo? Doing so doesn't allow the previous one to complete and makes it screw up with having multiples of some portions of a map. 2) Scripts aren't exactly part of GTK, and its a little hard to understand what everything is to work properly in terms of NPCs and whatnot. Bad documentation is more or less the culprit here. 3) Odd, I never have the issue unless I am going over the truncation limit or any other random things... but they don't just 'disappear' 5) 1.4 is the best one, so that doesn't really help much. (Others, don't even try to argue this... at least not in this thread. PM me if you really feel the need.)

I'm positive #3 is something on JA's end, not Radiant's. Can't say for sure.

User error, maybe?

Most issues arise due to clients alterations and editing of the core program itself. All else fails can try reinstalling the program. :clueless:

I use 1.4 and 1.5 and both function fine to me. Both do what they are intended to do. Make a level.

I didn't touch it, except with numerous, uncountable numbers of compiles from countless testing, as well as actual creating the maps.

They both do the same function, yet the way they go about it is slightly different and the "new" design of 1.5 requires much getting used to compared to 1.4, plus 1.4 has a better feel, more plugins, iirc it's also more stable. The biggest contributing factor to this is the lack of a "Z Axis viewport" on the far left. This always pissed me off how this wasn't in 1.5.

Well 1.5 came out, when, 4 years ago? And nobody has worked on radiant since then, as far as I can tell.

They have - Just not explicitly for JA AFAIK I've poked at the code myself, but it requires a lot of fixing before I can get a clean compile.
