The problem is that for some strange reason, I haven't found a .md3 plugin that works with 3ds Max 7. :( I've tried every link in the stickies, tried workin' 'the Google' but no results that worked.

[QUOTE=Inyri Forge;5273918]If I'm not mistaken, aren't *.ASE usually brushwork turned into models, and *.md3 are legitimate models? That may be why you're having trouble converting a 3ds Max model into an *.ASE file. I'd stick with *.md3 (unless I'm wrong, which is completely possible).
.ase is just a rather basic model format. The name stands for Ascii Scene Export, and as that indicates, it basically converts the model into text and symbols and can be opened like a text file. Radient likely just uses it because it's a simple format most 3D apps can import.
It's just as legitimate as any other model. As far as I know, it's got support for most things you'd expect from a model, from UVmaps to animations.
I have tried that, and for some reason 3ds says it's not compatible. :( My 3ds max needs eHarmony.

Are you sure everything's a-ok with your version of Max 7?
A friend of mine uses Max 7 as well, and the plugin-pack from this sticky works just fine for him.
Yup. I even tried a reinstall but no luck.

The ASE export of 3dsmax should work all right... Well, if it doesn't: Q3Map2 and the Radiant support .3ds, too. I always export to 3ds when doing non-animated models in Blender.
3dmax can export as 3ds, ase, obj, however I dont see how ASE transforms into brushwork, If it did, I wouldnt be making trees in GTK
