ok i have a 2 questions and a problem with gmax. first off, how can i make a skinmap for a model in gmax? secondly, how can i extract that skinmap succesfully? and thirdly, i cant get scripts or plugins to work with gmax. how do iput scripts and plugins in gmax correctly?

i can answer this (i think) for skin map u need two things: Lithunwrap (just search it, ull find it eventually) and the md3 exporter (md3exp.dle) from the Tempest game pack put it in ur plugins folder (i have my gmax in C:, so i would put the md3exp.dle from the tempest game pack-"C:\gmax\gamepacks\Tempest\plugins\md3exp.dle" to "C:\gmax\plugins\md3exp.dle" that works for me, and ignore any crap it gives u to get the skin map u need to play around with the UVW mapping tools, its been a while since ive done this, but once u get it right, export ur model as md3, open it with Lithunwrap, and save the file using Lith. that should get u ur skin map

Lithunwrap costs $$, and you can't save in the demo version. Doesn't Gmax have a UWV unwrapper?

i think it does,but im too lazy to try and i have the old free version of lithunwrap (now called unwrap 3d or something) lith was always free, but they changed it to the money version... i think
