There is no "how to mutilate a model" tutorial. You need to learn how models work and how to compile them. There are resources for all those things in the stickies. I didn't spend weeks compiling those stickies so lazy people could come in here and ignore them, so try looking for yourself. You'll save us all a lot of time.

Well no offense, but just looking up how to model in your stickies is not going to tell me how to chop off a head and slap another one on for a newbie modeler . Is there someone that you know that I can contact that will maybe do this for me, or actually explain slowly how to do this?

What inyri is trying to say (since she has here "Asshat" streaks) is that you need to learn to model for your self so that you can make and modify the goku model. There in no tuturoial on Frankinsteining models.

Yes, I understand that, but if I just learn to model, I don't see how I'm going to be able to "Frankinstein" it. :P

... If you learn how to build with legos wont you also figure out how to move a piece from point A to B?

in otherwords YES you will. (wow never realised how much of an Ass people on this forum are, specifically modelers)

That last part I totally agree with, some people can be really unhelpful sometimes >_>. Do you perhaps have an MSN or Xfire that we can talk about this?

Yeah, we're all unhelpful because we won't do it for you. Like we've never heard that before.

I can't help it if you're an idiot.

I'm not asking for you to do it for me. I was asking for a tutorial on it, and you sent me straight to your sticky thread which had absolutely nothing on it. I'm not a fan of your "You should know how to do it yourself" attitude either. = /

How is "read a tutorial and learn" a "you should know how to do it yourself" attitude? You being lazy != to me thinking you should already know how to do it.

You're not the first person to come in here and demand we do all your work for you and you won't be the last. We don't help people who don't help themselves; we've already handed you everything you need to learn. When you have a real question about how to use whatever software you choose then post it.

Tutorials are a finicky thing, in that you'll never find tutorials for specifics. The reason for this, is that if tutorials were wrote for specific purposes, then each tutorial would be overall useless, and there'd have to be thousands upon thousands of tutorials out there.

That's why tutorial writers prefer to teach the core skills.

That's also why most people around here never bother getting into mods and just yell at everyone else to make stuff for them - they can't be bothered to learn core skills and then use their own initiative to apply them.

As far as any hostile reaction goes, frankensteining, kitbashing or whatever you want to call it, is generally frowned upon by modders everywhere. It essentially boils down to taking people's work and throwing it together into one big mess, then claiming the credit. For that reason, you're not going to be welcomed with open arms by modellers if that's your stated intent.

Crashman, the reason for people being so negative and pissy around here.... well, compare this place today to how it was back in 2004. The term "epoch fail" applies.

That asshat streak that's in most of the veterans, comes from years of having to deal with imbeciles with no sense of courtesy or common sense. That's not mentioning the narcissism, superiority complexes, laziness, and the expectation of slave labor (and then nastiness when slave labor is not provided), as well as other unpleasant traits held by your average JA player.

The Jedi Knight community stopped being a community a long time ago, when the friendliness and goodwill died. Now it's just an assortment of people who have ties to a specific video game.

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.
