Oh, and please use just one topic for your project. It gets messy when people make a new tooic for every single little thing. I'll merge them this time, but please use that one topic as a project topic instead of a new one for every question.

Oh, and did you make sure to get permission from the authors of the mods you're kitbashing? Otherwise, it's theft, basically.

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

Trying to contact him as a matter of fact via MSN. If I do somehow throw this all together and make it work, and still have no permission, I will not release it to the public, or to anyone for that matter, and I definitely won't claim it for my own. All I'm doing is switching HIS models together, so really the credit is all his, so don't think I'm claiming this as MY model, because it isn't ^_^. But trust me, I am working hard to get in contact with Shady-D. If anyone knows a better way to contact him instead of waiting for him to get online for MSN. PLEASE do let me know.

Alright, now I REALLY hope I did this right, because this took a really long time to do to make it look good. Now, Goku looks like he injected steroids though...So, is this right?:

This thread is ridiculously funny. I doubt that this frankenstein will ever succeed anyway.

However, now you will have to go through the time consuming process of weighting, good luck, you will need it lol...

wow, i learned alot about modeling since i viewed this thread..does Lightwave work well on JKA? cos it is a pro kit and the trails contained most of the functions there.( well, actually it is just more famiiar to me :)). i have been cowarding from player models, coz they r abit more sophisticated then weapons and so on.( haha, i am being lazy) good luck by the way, coz weighting is BAD!

Thing is, Eclypse's XSI tutorial is aimed more at people familiar with how XSI works and know it's functions. Someone who doesn't know what Eclypse is mentioning in that tutorial might have a rough time with weighting.

My answer to your e-mail; Go ahead. I don't think they will fit eachother because they are 2 different styles but you can do it if you want to.

Also here is a quick how-to Frankenstein a model: 1. Learn how to edit meshes so that you can chop pieces off and paste em etc 2. chop and paste whatever you want 3. weigh the whole thing and export.

So the previous posters were right, you really need to learn how to (edit) model(s) before you can do this.

Now that was a good read. Anyway. Could this be done by making the whole thing selectable in the customization screen? Im not entirely sure how that process works, but if it was an option here, it'd be easier to do it that way.

weighing only takes alot of time if your using the table to do everything and you dont know what your doing. id never use 3ds max, not pro, only slow and maya was good before autodesk raped it. i dont really know about eclypses tut, he was VERY new to XSI, dont know why he was trying to teach when he still needed alot of learning to do.
