I am currently working on a map... it's going pretty good, but I've come across a few difficulties. I can't post screens (modem/Stupid MSN trouble), but I can describe the problems. ONE: My map ia basically one room, very long and kinda of wide. I used the "dune" set of backgrounds(skies). When I'm at one end of the map, the far end looks distorted. Kind of like when you use noclip, and back away too far. I'm pretty sure it was originally just the far side, but then after extending the sides (width), and putting in the Dune backgrounds, it does it on the sides when I'm not looking DIRECTLY at it (at a perpendicular[spelling?] angle). Why is this? I also have quite a few very bright lights... may have something to do with it... Another problem is kinda related to this one. I didn't want to people to be able to walk right up to the background textures, so I had to put something in the way. I couldn't the "do not enter" texture that Raven(I guess it was Raven) used in one of its template maps (the Korriban one), so I used caulk to prevent passage. Does this have anything to do with the above problem? I don't think so, because it did it before the caulk was there. Also, where can I find the "do not enter" texture? Now I've had some trouble with triggered (by a button) spawners. I finally figured out how to do it with normal NPCs, but I was wondering if it was possible to do it with vehicles? I know you use the NPC_vehicle to spawn ONE, and you can target it with a button, but it only works once. So I tried using a NPC_spawner, setting the NPC_type to "swoop_mp". Didn't work. I didn't try setting it as "NPC_vehicle" because I don't know how to define WHICH vehicle to spawn. So my question is: How do you make a vehicle spawner be triggered by a button multiple times? I have on last technical problem someone may be able to help with. HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH JKA! So, I put my modem I use in this PC in my other one (I have two--well one's my bro's...). I set up MSN.... 7 I think, and it worked fine. Dialed-up, used my old MSN account, and it was fine. But then I go to Sign In/connect, and MSN starts, the window comes up, and it works for just a few seconds, then locks completely. I get the hourglass, and nothing (in the window) works. After maybe a minute or two, the hourglass goes away, but it's still locked. So I press Alt+Ctrl+Delete to open the Task Manager, and it says that MSN is "Running", but MSN isn't working! Anyone have any idea what this is? Or will I have to somehow re-install MSN? Thanks for any help you can give, if there are any tutorials, please just tell me the name and I'll try to find it myself.

I've come across another problem... and a reason to bump my thread... :p Anyway, I've made a few custom "textures" (they're horrible, but I need them) to use in my map. I made a folder in "base\textures\rancor_punt" (

Make sure your textures are of the correct dimensions.

Sorry for the double post, just informing you all of my situation. I have solved the vehicle thing. It's the same as spawners. Just set the "count" to a number. Still having trouble with the distortion thing. Textures still not working. They ALL are either: 1024x1024 , 1024x512, or 512x1024. MSN still is being stupid. Whatever happened to our friendly, helpful mappers? I haven't even gotten a flame saying "OMG you idiot! There is already a thread on this! Search you doofus!" Any help? At all?
