okay I've been messing with my Contest entrie'S shader for a while but I cant figure out whats wrong with my shader :

I cant figure out what the heck is going wrong :uhoh:

Looks like flipped normals to me. Double check the mesh.

k then I'm gonna check the mesh another time the strange thing is : the problem only appears when I add Alpha mapping without alpha mapping it works perfect

EDIT : cant find any flaws with the normals it displays correctly in milkshape and 3ds max

Bit of a ridiculous question but I suppose you've tried it IG without shaders and it's still like this?

Okay try ditching the cull twosided on the shader for the head. If that doesn't work try removing the spec. Think it comes down to a basic trial and error. Last resort, just don't have a shader on the head if it's not absolutely necessary.

A. The shader problem hapopens to the hilt itself too B. The shader is absolutly improtant for the feathers to display correctly

I'm messing with the shader for a week now....

the interesting thing is : the whole problem starts to appear when I add Transparency

now the problem is like 30% fixed

now you can see the buttons and horns that are at the other side of the hilt through the hilt O.o and the head ist still messed up

Oh I see, didn't notice that. Still though, if you removed cull twosided (unless you've tried that, probably have) that still does no good? Are the textures jpgs, tgas or pngs?

Sounds quite weird, I'm sure someone knows how to effectively solve it on 'ere...

I'm using PNG files I just found something

All my shader stages are marked as detail stages could this be the problem ?

Don't know, try it out? Can't say I know absolutely tons about shaders.
