I am getting shading issues on ym model(usually appears by having big polygons beside a very small one or a hole). It's Galak's head although I changed the shape and may have moved an edge loop in the skull at most to fit the desired shape(the skull doesnt deform in jka to my knowledge so it shouldn't matter). Yet an area I didn't modify got this weird shading in Maya: Notice the edge of the face and the general ear area? Those areas were not modified at all and I am getting the dark weird shading, but since I cannot afford to keep adding polygons to fix it, I am wondering if it will severely affect the texturing when it goes in-game? Nope. That shouldn't give you any problems at all. As far as I know, the rendering methods 3d applications use is quite different from that of the Q3 engine.
Ah, I see, thanks a lot for the info. I'll be making a new thread for the generla model where I'll appreciate input frmo the community. Thanks a lot for the reply :)
