Ok, I am new to skinning, and my first skin I am doing is a Chewbacca skin. First off, figuring out how to get the darn thing to work was hard enough. Now, in-game, there is another problem! The original Chewbacca skin has furry flaps on it's arms, legs, waist and chest. When you view the JPG/Targa file, this things have brown flaps. Since the original Chewbacca skin didnt show them, I was hoping my wouldnt either. BUt of course, the brown shows up, and I dont know how to get rid of it! Can anyone help please? :kerian:

ahh... you screwed the shader. you need to copy and rename the shader for chewbacca, with your image names.

below is the chewbacca shader. copy it and rename it where ever it says "chewbacca_2sided" to your name. same with 1sided.

save it in notepad as yourskin.shader and put it in a folder called shaders in your pk3. and that should do the trick.

models/players/chewbacca/chewbacca_2sided { cull twosided { map models/players/chewbacca/chewbacca_2sided blendFunc GL_SRC_ALPHA GL_ONE_MINUS_SRC_ALPHA rgbGen lightingDiffuse } }

models/players/chewbacca/chewbacca_1sided { cull twosided { map models/players/chewbacca/chewbacca_1sided blendFunc GL_SRC_ALPHA GL_ONE_MINUS_SRC_ALPHA rgbGen lightingDiffuse } }
