Hello! Some days ago I started trying myself on creating my first model for JK3.:) I wanted to make Depa Dillaba and used a Darth Sidious model as the shape to do this. I scaled the clothing tighter to let it look more female and pulled the hood back,so that you can see more of the face. As the model looked finished all over and skinned (I worked with Milkshape) I exported the model back to the .Pk3 file, but when I want to use the model in game now it always crashes or shows me Kyle Katarn instead!!! The original model only reskinned works!! What have I done wrong??? Thanks for any answers:help:

You should figure out how to make a model before actually trying to make one. You need to add the skeleton, reweight and tag it, then compile it with carcass. Before you ask me for tutorials, there's a thread full of them. Unlucky for you, however, I don't believe milkshape can be used to create player models, unless you can find a plugin that exports to XSI.

you cant use milkshape, you need max, or softimage. then, you also need to re-weigh all the vertecies on the mesh, to the jka skeleton, otherwise it wont work at all.

Thanks for your replies!!!

I`ll try with softimage, but first I`m gonna gather information in other threads about modeling, as you told me. I probably thought it was easier to make a player model!
