Hello all i have a problem with shader file. I know how to add a shader to model so it will work in game, but i have no idea how to add a shader to saber. I made it the same way i made shader for model, in shadered2 i can see animated shader and it looks cool, but in game it doesnt even show texture! using 3d editing program i modelled my saber and assigned crystal to texture that should be 'shadered' but still in game i can see only white 3d object:(. Help me please Thx

when you see a white model in-game it most of the time means that you did something wrong in the .skin file. I'd suggest checking if you made a small typo somewhere.

i need to create a .skin file for my saber too?

i mean i thought .skin file is required for models only

a saber (the hilt) is a model too, not a player model, but a weapon model.

I assume you already have your model done, -->here<-- is a link to a tutorial that will explain how you should properly get your model into jk3.

for the .sab config file I suggest to look at iny's sword modelling tutorial here at the forums.

or were you refering to the blade of the saber?

I made a skin file and every texture is working but that shadered crystal texture still isnt its white and i have no idea why :(

crystal,models/weapons2/Epions_saber/inner_crystal_blue.tga

it should be working but its not :/

Could you perhaps post a screenie?

tbh I know very little about shadering, but if you made a typo in the shader the model would probably not show up at all. So I guess there is not something bad about the shader. I suggest to post a screenie and the shader that you are using, perhaps someone else can find the flaw in your shader.

Ok its weird when i assign any other texture that isnt 'shadered' it is displayed but if i assign a texture that is 'shadered' i mean that is used by shader its displayed as white 3d object -.-............................ Its Shader error i think becoz when i removed shader from shader folder it said 'warning no shader file blabla' and crystal was white, and when i added shader it still was white... Any1 know whats wrong about that shader? link to pics above

In modview it says: Info ->shader inner_crystal_blue.jpg

and on other WORKING textures it says: Info ->shader models/weapons2/epions_saber/xxxx.jpg how can i add direction to inner_crystal_blue?:O

Sorry for triple posting but i wasnt able to edit. Now its ok and texture isnt displayed in game but still shader isnt working. any ideas how to make shader work in game?
