im planning to release my hulk model tonight and almost everything is set to go. this will be my last thread for a long time. and im sry for being a jackass. but i have two quick questions: I want to add my own custom sounds and i have them all gathered but it doesnt work ingame. i read this guide that teaches everything and i followed it correctly. in my sounds.cfg file, i made it Hulk but am i supposed to make it chars/Hulk/misc, i saw this quite a bit when i was observing other models. When im ingame, i press n which is to trigger the animation flourish or gloat but when he does it, he sounds like the human and not the custom sound i wanted. Also, i named my sound file anger1.wav and taunt1.wav so that i get more chances of it working. (when i saved as .mp3 it couldnt be opened in media player so i made it a wave file) question 2 is if there is any way to lock or secre the .pk3 file from anyone opening it. on some model, when i open the .pk3, i get a gray box where the folders are supposed to be. That is how im guessing it could be locked. thank you in advance.

No. That is how it is done for JO models. There's a tutorial in the tutorial thread on how to add custom sounds to a model/skin. You should read it, then test things before you ask questions

Try Winzip instead of pakscape. And double check all your config files for the references to your model directory. I usualy screw it up there. Other then that I can only think that perhaps the samples are not compatable? I try to keep my samples all 16bit, 44.100kHz and 64 kbps.

This is why I wrote the darned tutorial. Samples must be 44100, mono.

You mean you put your mic next to your speaker? :D That's odd :)))))). (If that is so, bound-to-be-messed-up way I'm telling you) You can just use recording tools to record the sound directly from the soundcard. Like Total Recorder
