I know its possible to link lightsaber hilts to animations, but is it possible to link them to custom animations aka stances which you made, without replacing any default content?

I've tried it with one particular stance but the hilt still retains the default singe stance. I wondered it if it was a server side thing, so I got my friend to upload the .gla to his server, but that doesn't work either. So the question is if you are to link animations to your hilt, do they have to be the animations which already present in the game?

I'm unsure if it's server or client side because that chaos force unleashed mod had different animations for different weapons but I'm pretty sure that's a serverside mod.

No, you can create new animations and make the hilt execute them, but for other people to see them, they must have the hilt along with animations as well. But you can't use a saber on a server that doesn't have the hilt installed, along with the cvars you specified in the saber config.

So you don't have to upload the animations to the server, just the hilt. Because the animations are clientside.

I'm assuming you know how to add anims to the game so, you've got to edit the humanoid animation config and specify the stances values, for example; NEW_RED_STANCE 21374 2 -1 20 ROOT 21376 2 -1 29

Then you enter the same name in the saber config as in the animation config. NEW_RED_STANCE, in this case.

Sorry, I just read over my post and realised it wasn't very clear. What I meant was, yeah I know all that stuff about replacing animations, but I mean say for example; I create a new stance, is there a way I can link that stance to a hilt without overwriting any current animations/stances in game.
