I was wondering: 1: How do i place some models in a map (like if i have a stargate and DHD model, how do i place them in the map) 2: How would i make one start the other (should i use another persons script (with permission)) 3: if i got permission to do that, how would i hook all that up
So basicly, for non stargate fans, i need: to place 2 objects in a map have one activate a triggered teleporter with a couple of effects and sounds hook up all the scripts to do this

*bump* and, i have another thing i would like. When, i go through the stargate, i have seen an effect where the a cylinder spins around you. Is that something for the actual map, or is it an effect that i could just take from someone else (with their permission)
its probably just the hyperspace shader, its an animated shader that ueses a couple of textures and neat glow effects, it comes with the game, its in the doomgiver shader. thats all the advice i can give though, im no mapper.
Sounds very tricky, I don't think it's actually possible with the old Q3 engine. But I'm no mapper, so I can't help ye out.
1. Extract the models in your gamedata/base -folder. right click in 2d view in Gtkradiant, choose misc/misc_model and search for it. 2. You want that swirling teleporter-thingy to appear in the middle of the stargate, eh?
