Hey gang havent been here in awhile but anyway how do you make a server does it cost money?
There are 2 ways to create a server. You can either purchase one off an server retailer or host one on your computer (some routers may need configuring) if you wish to host one on your computer you must choose if you want to use a mod for example, if you tell me what mod if any you would like to use, I will provide a tutorial with screenshots on how.
Is hosting a server the same as going to create game in the jk3 multiplayer menu because i've done that before and i couldt see it one the server list and it doesn't give me complete control like taking off certain weapons and stuff not that i 'd want to do that.

Well you can't just go create a game that doesnt make it dedicated, in advanced options you MUST set dedicated to internet then once you click begin a yellow console box will appear leave this open and change what you want in that, what mod do you want to use, yes it is like create a game.
O ok thanks but i dont think i need a mod what sort of benefits do i get from using a mod actually the only definition of mod i know are skins, cheats, maps etc but when used in talking about servers what do they mean?
I was talking about a server mod for example Japlus.fragism.com is a mod, it gives your server admin commands and emotes, It generally gives your more control and management of your server.

The best way to figure out exactly what a serverside mod does is to read its read-me
Ok sparda so what then i just gotta go to japlus.fragism.com download the mod in add it to the game?
You download the Server one, not the client side, after that you extract it to game data - from there you open the Japlus folder and configure the server.cfg ( this can be opened with notepad) if you go to the japlus site there is a tool to generate it, but some of the options are glitchy its best to conigure it by hand and use the birate to help you configure it.
